PEC means Posta Email Certificata

A message sent with the certificated e-mail address has the same values as a registered letter with a reply. The sent message is completely tracable and testable. It guarantees that nothing whether the message (content) nor the e-mail sender was manipulated. Both sender and addressee must have a PEC-address, though.

Use

Since 2009, the use of a PEC address has been mandatory for both companies and freelancers. This makes dealing with public authorities much easier.

However, the PEC address should not replace the previous email address.
